Playing with Tom

Marren likes to play with Tom and Jerry. Well, Tom will play with Marren, Jerry runs away. Marren provides long leaves for Tom to bat and when Tom tires of the proffered item, he usually takes a swipe at Marren. She tells on Tom to me says, "Tom bites!" and I tell her to be nice. She is fearless. Marren doesn't run away from Tom. I personally think Tom is hoping she does so he can pounce.

Stinky stinky turtle

I don't know when I became the mom that stopped for every creature or bug so Marren could inspect it... I guess I don't want her to be fearful of harmless bugs... I turned around for a tiny turtle in the road that I originally thought was a spider... Yes I would have stopped for a spider that big too! Anyway, turtles are smelly. I nearly gagged. I don't remember them being so nasty. We used to hunt turtles all the time for the Okie spirit parties. I put him in the front yard and let Marren play with it. It peed all over her! She loved it. I almost freaked though when she tried to kiss it. Hand washing and a bath that night still didn't totally take the stench away. Two days later, we spied a large snapping turtle and Marren only chased it. Yuck!

Zoo Day!

I have the best friend in the whole world! She takes such good care of Marren, I never worry when I leave her with Nancy! She joined us on our zoo day!

Finally! Another pic of me with Marren! She is sitting on an Elephant! hehehe.... Marren is scared of elephants. I had to hide an elephant toy that Nancy bought her...

Marren and Sophie play so well together! Caleb and Trish were kind enough to invite us to their Mother's Day celebration! We ate grilled steaks and corn and played Scattergories and Pictionary! Caleb brought out Sophie's tea set and they had a blast! We used what was available which meant Orange soda and chocolate chip cookies! Marren is deprived snackwise so she was in heaven!

The easy life of Marren

She is just like her momma! She will eat salsa by the spoonful! I love her side bow and rhinestones!
She loves salad and tomatoes!

As my mom will point out, she still has her shoes on. It is not a common thing so chill out YaYa! Doesn't she look comfy?

A backside view of my first attempt at beading and braiding her hair. She loved it once she realized she could make noise with her hair! :)

She leads such a rough life! She loves her little chair. She even colors in it! (Garage Sale $3)

She loves oatmeal and cream of wheat! It looks like she gave herself a facial too!
Sugar free banana popsicle!

Pancake breakfast before seeing Nancy!

Plain pancakes again! She didn't bother her curlers over night at all! Yay Marren!
