Midnight Movie Madness

This is the view from the Balcony at the Warren Theater. I don't know why I didn't snap one of me and Boogie, I guess I was too tired already. We went to see Transformers 2. Total nerd fest if I say so myself. People were in matching shirts and some had masks. I must admid I pondered where I could get a Transformer mask. The theater went dark and the applause began. It was almost a "Twilightesque" atmosphere. The movie was ok. I enjoyed it but a little peeved that I paid $18 for a ticket.

I actually thought that some of the language was unnecessary. I don't censor my movies. If it doesn't make me feel bad, I am usually cool with it. For example If you are watching Saving Private Ryan, there will be violence come on its war! Anyway I digress.

I think I give it 7/10. I might have rated it higher but my eyes are burning and at the moment I am siding with the Decepticons in their pursuit of destroying the sun since I can't sleep when it's light.

Oh- I am too old to go to a midnight movie! I got home at 2:45 and got back up at 5:50am!

Guitar Heroes

This post should have been made 2 weeks ago so I am sorry! I had some kissi... some work to do! Hunter is awesome! He is a blonde Garry, truly. He, like my wayward bro, is a gamer. This picture shows him beating Uncle Jordan handily at Guitar Hero Metallica, no doubt. I miss the onery devil. They won't return home until Christmastime. Maybe Jordie will have time to practice and not let a 5 year old beat him.

I have just slid off my treadmill after another grueling 40 minutes. Usually, I might give it a little kick and pretend to spit on it but today is different..... I got of singing one of my new favorite songs. (Falling Slowly by Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova) I make my sister's salsa for her party, still singing. (Flightless Bird, American Mouth by Iron & Wine) I feed my dogs, again still singing. (Johanna from Sweeney Todd) I switch some laundry. (Nearer My God to Thee by Addison Kirk (Piano only)) I cleaned my kitchen. (Going to California by Led Zeppelin) I finally showered. (The Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson) Obviously my iPod was on shuffle.

For those unaware, I cannot sing. My younger cousin, B.VDB laughed at my singing in April, it's that bad. Today has been the best day and nothing special happened. I worked at both jobs, I talked to a couple aunt's on the phone. My mom and I played phone tag. Boogie got mad at me.

I am turning into a sap! I started to read about joy and it brought maybe 2 tears to my eyes. :) So I guess all I am saying is that I hope everyone has an ordinary day filled with an "Intense and especially ecstatic or exultant happiness." I can't imagine being more full of joy.

Happy Birthday to Me! (in 31 days)

Titan begins by lifting riders up a 245 foot hill and then takes a 255 foot drop entering a 120 foot tunnel. Immediately after the tunnel, riders are taken through a large Carousel turn. Following the Carousel turn, riders encounter a large camel back. The train subsequently enters an uphill 540 degree helix which leads to the mid-course brake run. Next, trains maneuver an overbanked turn, followed by the 2nd, downhill, 540 degree helix. Afterwards, the trains navigate an over-banked turn to the left and then another to the right..........

My Birthday will be spent at Six Flags over Texas! Nancy, Karen, and Tabatha are going with me and we are gonna ride roller coasters all day!

Winning took a back seat? And I am checking out Boston scores? Pigs must be flying, I am sure!

The date was great. Pole Position had a league night so we didn't get to race. We dined at the Elephant Bar, one of my faves. It was yummy. I had Cashew Chicken. We ate with Joel and Heather, funny couple :) We killed time before the movie by bowling. I beat Chris again. Funny thing, I was distracted and I don't even know what I scored. That my friends is a first! I have never laughed so hard in one evening. I made it home around 12:30am and I couldn't lie still. My breathing returned to normal around 1am and I was finally able to sleep.

After today I think I will no longer be sharing my date stories unless I am making fun of myself. I know I don't keep secrets very well but I actually don't want to share! This is all assuming I even have another date!

Who knew a life long Munson and Bronx girl could find room to check out ESPN scores for Beantown! Sorry Thurman, and Dad :) I promise to never let it go beyond checking scores :)

Chipping away the facade

So tonight I am going to Pole Position Raceway! Woo Hoo! I have never been! It is an indoor go-kart track. I am so glad that I looked up their website because it states that all driver must wear headgear and be prepared to sweat! WHAT! I only played ball for 22 years! I know how much I leak! So my cultivated put together look will be destroyed after one whopping date. :) Come on! He should not have to see me "scary" until after say the 10th date! I will have to come prepared and try to salvage my face.

So I will say good luck to me and my glands. (That sentence by itself out of context is grody) Bill, my BFF, says that it looks like I am glowing these days when I smile. Well, tonight that takes on a whole new meaning!

C.A.T. mentioned that he chose Pole Position to give him a chance to beat me at something! Isn't that the greatest compliment you have ever heard? To me, that's like saying I am the most beautiful creature he has ever seen!

What I should have been teaching Bodie

You know, Bodie is a special dog. He listens and follows directions the first time. He can sit and go potty and can recognize, "Wanna go Bye-Bye" and "Wanna Treat". He uses his dolls as pacifiers and loves me almost as much as I love him. I realize now that I have been holding him back from his potential! Who knew a dog could learn to surf? Here I was all worried about him sinking at the lake when I should have taken him out with me on the tube so he could begin achieving his unrealized talent of skiing! I should be a better dog mom!
