I have posted 4 posts for my insistent mom. Mom, I love you but leave me alone! Hopefully, she will be blog-satisfied for the next three days or I will be forced to make up stories in my boring spinster life to blog about! :)

My newest obsession

So I downloaded a copy of Twilight over iTunes for my 3G. I absolutely loved it! It has made me change my mind about purchasing a Kindle2.

It did take 6 days to listen to the book, but my imagination triumphed and I discovered that my "Forks" and my "Meadow" was richly rewarded. I could just lie back and visualize and see everything more distinctly. I LOVE IT!

It was convenient to clean my house or do laundry and enjoy a book at the same time! I cannot imagine listening to a book the first time on CD but I definitely will buy an audio copy of some of my favorites.

Of course I had to begin with JK Rowling.... I am giddy with anticipation for my H.P. package to arrive!

Milestones

So this year is a milestone year. I abhor years that end in "9" My father has started our downward spiral by turning 50! I will follow shortly after and turn 30. My mother ends out our year by turning 50 herself too! Gag me with a fork, a dirty dropped on the floor fork. This post is a pre-warning post to my upcoming mood July 21st. Totally Grody.

Slow Crawl

Well after six long weeks I have found out that I am now 15th on "The List". At this rate, I will be number one in thirty weeks! Yeay and Blah would describe the conflicting emotions I feel. Yea because it is better than 18 and Blah because I have the patience of a three year old wanting someone else's toy!

Seriously I am pleased to see some movement as long as it's positive!

Ballet Oklahoma Season 2009-2010

Well, I purchased my season tickets for the Ballet! I am C-ORC row B seats 107 and 108! Row B is extra wide so I don't have to stand up to allow people to pass! The season includes The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Nutcracker Suite, Giselle, and Thr3e by Thr3e. I have no idea what 3x3 is but I do know that OKC will have two principle dancers on loan for Giselle!

Utah Vacation!!

This is after conference. The day was kind of dreary but the rain ceased and it was a good day. Utah is so much fun. I always enjoy my stay!

So I went to Salt Lake City for conference weekend. I have had a blast so far. This is me in front of the Salt Lake Temple. The weather has been dreary but I won't let it bring my spirits down!
We went to the organ concert. The music was great. The blue background fades in and out so the colors change.

Technology is Stalking Me!

Does anyone remember this old Nokia phone? Well I used mine up until January of this year. I had backup old phones to replace this phone when it started to die. I caved into peer pressure and bought the latest computer phone with all the unnecessary features that I now can't live without!

Technology has me on it's radar now. I can't escape! I hear the electronic "whirring" beckoning me, saying my name as my brain scrambles to justify the purchase. The current impulse I am trying to withstand is the Kindle2

I would say that the shopping addiction that has the strongest hold on me is my love of reading. I will buy a book before I would buy food. I am considering purchasing a Kindle2. A patient came in with one yesterday and it is pretty sweet. It's kind of pricey but it can hold 15000 titles. My hesitancy is due to the fact that I love holding, smelling, and feeling the book in my hands! I should have been born in 1879 and I wouldn't have this dilemma! I have been stewing over the Kindle for about 5 months...... I am afraid the stalker is gonna win this one! It would be great to pass 30 hours of travelling to Africa with 15 books thinner than a pencil!
