Las Vegas

Marren was able to go to Las Vegas with me! I went to the National ADA meeting (American Dental Association) and Marren got to stay with Aunt V! She was wonderful on the plane. She said as we took off that she wanted the plane to drive and not fly! Of course she was the best ever and said she wanted to fly again and again! Sandy is holding her in this pic!

Marren had a blast playing with Brendan and Aunt V! Marren didn't mind the 60 degree water. I can't publish it, but she took her clothes off and got right in!

I don't like turtles!

Marren LOVES turtles. I stop and pick up turtles left on the road and take them home. (Turtles stink) Marren will chase them in the yard and carry them around. Anyway, we visited the Tiger Safari in Tuttle and they have African turtles that kids can ride! Marren doesn't do well on the motorized cars at walmart, so when she stood on the turtle and it started to move she freaked!

On the way home she became a broken record......"momma, I don't like turtles!"

Pilj'd and a icecream sandwich

The Pilj kids love Marren! She will go around the house saying, "Shaelea, Giacomo". We went out for swimming, dinner and games. Marren had fun.
First ice cream sandwich: She ate all her dinner without complaint (as usual) and got a treat!

I think she enjoyed it......

Marren went to the ballpark for the first time. I think she liked it. I will say she asked for me to wipe her when she had dirt on her hands.......

Pretty Hadley

Honestly, Marren wasn't very good. (A First, no doubt, no lie!) She didn't like being on the blanket during the game. Since I had both girls, I couldn't just let her go. Plus lily white Hadley would have burned out of the shade.

Playing with Tom

Marren likes to play with Tom and Jerry. Well, Tom will play with Marren, Jerry runs away. Marren provides long leaves for Tom to bat and when Tom tires of the proffered item, he usually takes a swipe at Marren. She tells on Tom to me says, "Tom bites!" and I tell her to be nice. She is fearless. Marren doesn't run away from Tom. I personally think Tom is hoping she does so he can pounce.

Stinky stinky turtle

I don't know when I became the mom that stopped for every creature or bug so Marren could inspect it... I guess I don't want her to be fearful of harmless bugs... I turned around for a tiny turtle in the road that I originally thought was a spider... Yes I would have stopped for a spider that big too! Anyway, turtles are smelly. I nearly gagged. I don't remember them being so nasty. We used to hunt turtles all the time for the Okie spirit parties. I put him in the front yard and let Marren play with it. It peed all over her! She loved it. I almost freaked though when she tried to kiss it. Hand washing and a bath that night still didn't totally take the stench away. Two days later, we spied a large snapping turtle and Marren only chased it. Yuck!

Zoo Day!

I have the best friend in the whole world! She takes such good care of Marren, I never worry when I leave her with Nancy! She joined us on our zoo day!
